What's the best day tour/excursion in Cancun?
There are so many amazing activities to check out during the day in Cancun. It can overwhelm people quite a bit at first glance when it comes time to pick one. I’m here to help give you some insight on where your money may be best spent. Granted, this is only my opinion but I love to try new and exciting activities and I REALLY love when these excursions don’t break my piggy bank!
So let's start with my favorites!
Swimming with Dolphins: This is one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. You interact with dolphins in the water, get fun pictures, and also are able to feel the power, strength, and personality that these animals possess. It is a once in a lifetime experience. There are two options. For about $90 USD you give the dolphin commands to do tricks which lasts 30 minutes. If you’re going to swim with dolphins, i say go all out. The full interactive 60 minute dolphin experience costs about $140 USD and the dolphins will even ‘nose push’ you by your feet so you can get a picture mid air with a dolphin as your base. AMAZING.
Kin Ha ATV tour: When I first heard about this tour, I was skeptical. Who wants to ATV through the muddy jungle? Um, I DO! It was so much fun! Not only do you ATV through the jungle, but you get to experience 3 different cenotes (sink holes) and zip line too! This was so jam packed with activity and variety, it kept my attention the whole time. The first sink whole is under ground. It looked like a mystical cave. The next two were above ground but set in beautiful locations. You have the option to cliff jump, zip line into the water, tight rope walk under the water, or just relax in the cenote! This tour costs only $45 USD. Its a steal!
Jet Pack Cancun: This is the latest and greatest technology to hit Cancun thus far. For 20-30 minutes you can actually strap on a jet pack and fly over the water in the Nichupte Lagoon at Plaza La Isla. This is one of the more expensive excursions as well, ranging from $100-150 USD, but who doesn’t want to jet pack through the air? Its absolutely worth the money! My recommendation is, if money isn’t a factor check out the Jet Pack excursion, or go and spend an hour swimming with the dolphins and get some amazing photos to take home. If you are looking to save some money but still have an AMAZING experience, go with Kin Ha’s ATV & cenote tour.
